Past Tasting History Journeys
“We had the trip of a lifetime! This was our first experience with a guided/group vacation and a riverboat. The multiple flights and excursions were handled very efficiently. All the people providing the services throughout the trip were welcoming, engaging, knowledgeable, and very well organized. The accommodations and the meals were outstanding. The experiences included in the trip were exceptional and memorable. We enjoyed sharing the experience with the other people included in the trip. Thank you!”

The Egypt tour and cruise was truly a dream-come-true trip. AmaWaterways is already a favorite of ours for their attention to education, comfort and cuisine, but the added care that Ruth and Journey Goal provided for the specialized Tasting History group made it an even more exquisite and fun experience. Thank you, we won't forget Egypt, you and the friends you helped us make. Hopefully we can join on a future journey!
— Andrea G.
“This was a fantastic experience. We met wonderful people and made lifelong friends. The food was delicious- fresh fruits and vegetables in season, differently spiced meats and fava beans (my favorite). The over 5000 years of history provided during the tour portion of the trip was beyond amazing. To see that paint still exists from that far back blows your mind. It was cool to meet and get to know Max. What you see is what you get. He's down to earth and a real history nerd at heart. Ruth is an awesome trip advisor. She answered any questions and was very quick in response. She also helped us plan a trip to London before we arrived in Egypt. She's a world traveler and knows how to help those just starting out or getting back in the game. Thanks Ruth! Highly recommend a trip like this!

“The whole experience was lovely. Max is an amazing human and was very generous with his time and company. Ruth did a spectacular job putting the whole event together. I'm excited to join in more events like this in the future!”
— Aaron G.
“The best part was getting to know the other tastorians during the tours, in-between times and dinner, and learning about their interests and points of view. We enjoyed the energy of a group of like minded people experiencing new things, and learning about the history, culture, geography and food together.”
